Solanum lycopersicum L.
Very striking, dark purple-black colored variety with sweet and spicy fruits.
This tomato variety was bred by Jim Myers at Oregon State University and has a high anthocyanin content. The underside turns slightly red as it ripens, but otherwise the fruits are completely dark. The fruits weigh approx. 50 g. Like all dark varieties, the tomatoes ripen relatively late, but then have a pleasant, mildly sour taste, a good yield and juicy, crunchy flesh. The plants are very robust, only grow to around 1.80 m high and have darker foliage.
